If you have booked your bridal makeup trial with Makeup By Diana, you might be wondering exactly how this process goes. While I provide detailed information upon booking, I have created this guide so you know what to expect beforehand.(especially if you love to know everything in advance)
How to Prepare for Your Bridal Makeup Trial
- Have a clean face, free of makeup for the best product application during your trial
- No skincare needed, as professional skincare will be applied for you during the trial
- Wear a white or dress-colored top to help you visualize better how your makeup will look
- Have a clean space ready so I can set up products and tools
Questions You May Be Asked
- Your skincare routine, makeup preferences
- Features you love most and want to highlight
- Allergies or skin sensitivities
- Lip and eye color preferences
- Your wedding theme/colors, venue and other wedding details
Additional bridal trial tips
- Bring inspiration photos – Pinterest boards and saved bridal looks help communicate your vision
- Show past makeup photos of you – especially if you’ve worn heavier or lighter looks before
- Plan for 2 Hours – many questions will be asked
- Open communication – trust my skills, however speak up about preferences
- Your look is documented – products and techniques will be noted for perfect replication on your wedding day and pictures will be taken
TIP: Treat your bridal trial as part of your bridal journey, not just as a makeup application. Prepare properly and communicate openly so that your look reflects your personality, highlights your natural beauty and makes you feel like you and happy when you look in the mirror or when you look at your photos in the future.
