This past weekend I had the honor of participating in the Encanterra Wedding and Event Show in Queen Creek. It was such a fun and inspiring experience to connect with future brides, grooms, families and fellow wedding professionals. For me, though, it was about more than just setting up a booth. It was about sharing my artistry, my story and my values.

When I designed my booth, I wanted guests to have more than a glance at my work. I wanted them to experience what I stand for as a bridal makeup artist. Here’s what I featured:
Showcasing my work: A computer screen played a slideshow of my past bridal looks, paired with genuine client reviews so guests could see artistry and hear real experiences.
Before and After photos: I displayed transformations of brides across many skin tones, ages and cultures, to reflect that beauty has no limits or boundaries.
Bridal giveaway: Brides-to-be who book within a week could receive $25 off their bridal trial – a gift as they start planning their special day.
Credentials & Connection: I proudly displayed my WeddingWire award, along with a scannable Instagram QR code so guests could instantly follow and browse more of my work.
Inclusivity board: My favorite touch was a rainbow-toned sign that said “All Are Welcome.” Simple and bright, it wasn’t branded, it was just something I loved because it reflected my brand promise: inclusivity is not a trend, it is a core value.
Why Inclusivity matters in my bridal makeup business
In my years of working with brides, one truth has become very clear: beauty, style and self-expression should be accessible to everyone.
Far too often, I have met clients who tell me they have struggled to find makeup artists who feel confident working on mature skin or skin of color. Some brides have shared stories of hesitating, or even feeling rejected, because artists were not trained or experienced with their unique features. That breaks my heart, because every professional makeup artist should be ready to celebrate all brides.
That’s why I have made this one of my specialties. I have dedicated years to honing my skills on different skin tones, textures, ages and face shapes, because every client deserves the same level of artistry and care. I also warmly welcome different cultures into my chair. While I have noticed that sometimes cultural bridal makeup is misunderstood or even disregarded, I embrace it as one of the most beautiful parts of my work. I love learning about customs and traditions, and every time I create a look inspired by another culture, it feels like I am traveling and growing alongside my clients.

Guest Feedback and Conversations
One of the best parts of the expo was hearing feedback from the guests and brides who stopped by. Along with my booth in the main ballroom, where all the vendors were showcased, I also had a small setup inside the venue’s bridal suite.
Some brides visited the suite first, then later came to my main booth. As soon as they saw me, I would hear comments like: “Aw, you’re the one with the setup in the bridal suite. We saw that and loved what you’re doing!”
Those interactions meant the world to me. It showed me that the extra effort, the message of inclusivity, and even small details don’t go unnoticed. They confirmed that my brand promise – welcoming all brides – truly resonates.
